Our friendly neighborhood drug dealers have now switched automobiles (insert thunderous applause). Seems the head honcho is now driving a white BMW and his homeslice is driving a white CAMARO. In essence, they UPGRADED!!! Yay!!! Business must be awfully good. The resident drug dealing employee of the AHC gardening staff who works with BMW and CAMARO is still being picked up from building 8, taken on a ride which includes a stop at Sorrento's where he most likely retrieves a package from the pizza parlor. This way, a transaction never passes from one hand to the next. Genius!!! Said drug dealing employee/resident is still busy harassing the female cashiers at Food Dynasty. I wonder if his daughter thought he was a creep when she was working there and he was hitting on all of her co-workers.
A shareholder was notified by a member of our Service Staff that the wheels to their automobile were stolen by a thief in the night!!! Same thing happened around the same time last year around building 9. Not sure why this wasn't in the Community News. There really should be a police blotter section in our Community News. Not sure why the Education Deparment keeps Shareholders in the dark about crime. If they are going to go upside our heads with praise for the Service Department, the very least Ed and his girlfriend Doris can do is TELL IT LIKE IT IS about crime in our area.
A sincere notice of appreciation goes out to former poster girl for bad behavior Princess Samantha Spencer. Though this blog has been highly critical of her shenanigans in the past, according to our sources, Princess Samantha has been on her best behavior since moving - for the third time - into an apartment in building 9. Apparently, she has been volunteering quite a bit in the neighborhood as well. Kudos to you Princess Samantha. Always keep in mind that your reputation is who people WANT you to be, but your character is who you really are...
Jennifer Rankin, Assistant to the Manager, is under Investigation by the Department of Education for Falsifying Business Records. Ms. Rankin enrolled her son in the AmPark Neighborhood School using her mothers address in building 10. This news is of special concern because of the rathy lengthy waiting list that exists for legitimate area residents who wish to enroll their children at AmPark. Further, it is highly unethical(and illegal) to Falsify Business Records. Depending upon the results of the Investigation, if Ms. Rankin is found to have violated the Law, a follow up investigation should be conducted to ensure all records at the Amalgamated are legitimate if said records were touched by the hands of Jennifer Rankin.
Several tenants still have outstanding legal issues with the AHC in regards to clear and present Warranty of Habitability violations. One Shareholder, who shall remain anonymous, was forced to deal with a serious mold contamination issue in her unit for over 20 years. Mold contamination poses severe health risks to humans and animals. If you have a mold issue in your apartment, please do not hesitate to call 311. You will be transferred to HPD and an inspector will come to your home and record all violations. The AHC will then have a set amount of time to correct the violations to the SATISFACTION of HPD. Failure to correct the violations in a timely manner will result in harsh penalties and fines levied against the AHC by HPD. HPD can send in their own contractors to fix outstanding issues and then bill the Coop for the work. As shareholders, we should demand that all outstanding violations be addressed expeditiously to ensure the health and safety of our neighbors is never compromised. The miracle of modern technology makes it easy for the adminstrative side of the Service Department to follow up on all service calls. If an appointment is made for a Service Call, and you wait around all day for that call ultimately to be inconvenienced by a no-show, you are entitled to damages and a $100 administrative fee for the Corporations' failure to abide by their own House Rules. The claim "one hand doesn't know what the other is doing" no longer holds water. Computers, telephones and walkie talkies are all the Service Department needs to ensure jobs are handled efficiently.

Paul Birnbaum praised the Service Department, then again, Paul Birnbaums' girlfriend works for the Coop and he is considered a "pioneer" so he probably receives white-glove treatment.
The new machines in the laundry room are more costly and not as effective. In essence, you are paying more for your clothes to remain damp after forty five minutes in the dryers. I specifically recall the minutes indicated the cost for the machines would NOT be raised due to the fires in two different laundry rooms at the very end of 2010 and the beginning of 2011.

The cost of the washers and dryers went up anyway. And there are no sprinklers or FIRE extinguishers in the laundry rooms.
Lots of folks were up in arms about Ed Yaker holding a legitimate seat on the Board of Directors again despite the passage of a Term Limits Amendment which strictly forbid such tomfoolery. Oddly enough, the Term Limits Amendment never made it into the By-Laws...hmmmmmmmmmm, I wonder why or, better yet, who was responsible for such an egregious ommission from the Coop's equivalent of the AHC Shareholders Constitution? Imagine if Amendment 21 never made it into the Constitution of the Unites States of America???? There would be a whole lot of unhappy folks in the good old U S of A. That Eddie sure has a lot of tricks up his sleeve!!!
Speaking of having tricks up the proverbial sleeve, the Rochdale Village Board of Directors is in deep doo-doo after a sex offender was hired to run the Rochdale Village Little League. The sex offender went on to sexually assault several male residents of Rochdale Village. David C. Hartshorn is a certified PEDOPHILE. If this isnt a clear example of WHY background checks are so very important to protect the most vulnerable members of any community, I dont know what is! You can read about the scandal here:

I am pretty sure the families of the victims of the crimes perpetrated by Mr. Hartshorn want the head(s) of the person(s) responsible for hiring a sex offender on a silver platter. Mr. Hartshorn needs to be thrown into general population for a little while so he can get the bielzabub beaten out of him. As for the Board of Directors at Rochdale, they need to answer for the hiring of a lowlife scumbag pedophile. Maybe he's a relative of a Board member or an employee? BACKGROUND CHECKS!!! From what I have been told, there are persons working for the Amalgamated who were not screened...and once they are hired, well, its too late then. GREAT!
