THEORIES, RUMOURS and FACTS

Couple of e-mails in the mail bag in regards what is going on with all of the empty apartments, the drug addicts/dealers and the new Manager in the Coop:

"Some of these apartments have been vacant for more than a year. Desireable apartments, with nice views, floors, etc. When a shareholder dies the coop is allowed to continue to collect rent on that apartment from te estate of the deceased until it is sold. What if they are draining accounts in the credit union to a zero balance while claiming a loss of rental income on the books. In addition, what if the warehousing of many of these now vacant apartments have more to do with finding a sponsor that will purchase 51% of the units so that the Coop can go private"

"What exactly happened to Mark Gritz, anyway? I understand the Coop was trying to EVICT him from his mothers apartment in building 14 for quite some time. I am sure he had a proper defense given his deep seated hatred for Bob Gillman who somehow convinced his daughter to turn states evidence on her own husband for the drug operation they ran. Bob Gillman was a pharmacist, yes? Doesnt anyone find it very interesting that Gritz was found dead over Thanksgiving weekend while everyone was celebrating and he was in the middle of a war with The Coop?"

"The fact is, the Board hired a man that robbed people like you and me. Shareholders. These people trusted him to keep their homes affordable and properly maintained by hiring qualified and trustworthy contractors. This entire debacle is a travesty. But the Board did us a favor. With all the speculation surrounding the former Manager and distrust of the Board since the signing of the fuel oil contract in the middle of the summer, now we have something solid that will fortify our belief that this Board is completely and utterly stupid, nevermind devious. We simply cannot afford to allow our investments to be jeopardized by stupid people."

"I am glad someone from the Riverdale Press is keeping an eye on what is going on here. Adam did an excellent job. Its only matter of time before the Daily News or the New York Times gets a hold of this scandal."

I am pretty sure the residents of Charles Zsebedics old stomping grounds had NO IDEA that man stole from them when he was indicted and copped a plea. My theory? Read this story and then drop us a line:

By the way, Harry Mayer attended many CCC (Coordinating Council of Cooperatives) meetings with yiggy1@aol.com.
